Welcome to SmackDown Live, one final time before the biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam!

That’s right we’re only five days away from the show that is akin to WrestleMania nowadays, and the WWE Champion Jinder Mahal faces the biggest obstacle of his career: John Cena! Last week Mahal lost in a singles match to Randy Orton, something that made little sense to anyone. However on the bright side, I was at the event at Jinder was the most over person on the entire show! The Toronto fans love Jinder, seemingly because he’s actually from Calgary. Anyways, Jinder now faces an even bigger threat in the form of John Cena, although don’t be surprised if one Baron Corbin helps Mahal eek a win.

Also on last week’s show, Shane McMahon forced AJ Styles and Kevin Owens to share a ring and everyone assumed Owens couldn’t work so close to Shane, however it was AJ whose bad blood with the commish that resurfaced! WWE.com is saying that tonight AJ will be forced to apologise to Shane for kicking him in the head but who knows what hell might break loose so close to the big show!

Natalya has a huge match coming up with Naomi at SummerSlam this Sunday, however before she gets there, she has to face Becky Lynch tonight! This is a huge test for Natalya as she aims to gain some momentum ahead of the show. Charlotte Flair defeated Lana last week on SmackDown, however this week she’s unlikely to appear due to the ill health of her father Ric Flair. The 16x World Champion had surgery yesterday and is said to be recovering although nothing is certain, we wish Flair the very best in his recovery!

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, The Fashion Police return to Fashion Peaks one more time, The Uso’s will be out for revenge on The New Day, and what will Carmella do now that she has James Ellsworth back at her side? All that and more to look forward to! Let us know your thoughts and feelings in the comments and be sure to check out the Ringside News and Ringside Talk apps, enjoy the show!
