It’s that time of the week again, the thing that makes Monday’s more bearable (occasionally), Monday Night Raw!

We’re only a week away from the Payback PPV, where Braun Strowman will face the now-disabled Roman Reigns in a number one contender’s match. Braun destroyed Roman a few weeks ago, then last week he broke the ring with The Big Show, and tonight he faces Kalisto in a Dumpster Match. Not sure what kind of match that is, besides that time Vince threw Eric Bischoff in a dumspter, and it feels like poor Kalisto will be eating trash before he knows what hit him. However, there’s a strong chance Roman comes back tonight, fully healed from his separated shoulder, broken ribs, and internal bleeding, and shows Braun what-for. Sadly, Roman is likely returning with a broken heart since his brother died last week and that genuinely sucks for the guy.

Finn Balor is undefeated since his return to Raw, actually Finn is undefeated on Raw in general. His record is 5-0, which he extended last week when he blasted through Curt Hawkins in seconds. Balor is kind of in limbo right now because he’s evidently waiting for Bray Wyatt to properly move from SmackDown Live to start that feud. So I would expect to see him walk through some more competition on tonight’s show.

Sheamus and Cesaro are feuding with Matt and Jeff Hardy, which saw Jeff and Cesaro have a great match on last week’s Raw. These two teams seem to have good chemistry but it sounds like Matt and Jeff have bigger things on the horizon, as word on the street is that WWE is trying to bring the ‘Broken’ gimmick and run with the Hardy’s. That could mean Cesaro and Sheamus might actually win back their tag titles. Regardless, I would expect to see Matt Vs. Sheamus on tonight’s show, for one last build towards Payback.

Alexa Bliss is the number one contender to Bayley’s Women’s Championship. She earned this spot after defeating Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, and Mickie James last week, thus thrusting her into the spotlight that shone so brightly on her on SmackDown Live. Bliss is a great character and a great foil to Bayley, who often plays the underdog. They’ve faced off on NXT before but both are vastly improved and I would expect great things when these two come together at Payback.

What are you most excited about on tonight’s show? Let us know in the comments, check out the awesome and free Ringside News app, and enjoy the show!
