#1 Contender Triple Threat Match Booked For October 17th WWE NXT

WWE booked a loaded episode of NXT this week. There were a ton of newsworthy moments, but next week’s episode is already shaping up to be worth watching.

This week on NXT, Cody Rhodes was the special General Manager. The American Nightmare was approached by Tony D’Angelo and Stacks backstage. They had an idea for a match, and Rhodes soon booked a battle royal match for next week to crown new #1 contenders.

Cody Rhodes also booked a triple threat match for next week. Baron Corbin really wanted an NXT Title shot, but Cody said that Dijak made some valid points. Those two will be joined by Carmelo Hayes in that match for the #1 contender spot. It didn’t take long for a match to get set for next week that could steal the show.

Lyra Valkyria vs Tegan Nox was also booked for next week’s show. That should be a great chance for two potential breakout female stars to mix it up.
