Ronda Rousey was set to face Becky Lynch at Survivor Series, but after a shot from Nia Jax to Lynch’s face during SmackDown’s invasion of Raw on Monday night, Lynch is now out of the match with a fractured face and a severe concussion.
Lynch made a decision on who would face Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series in her place, but she made it clear that she wasn’t happy about this at all. She also alluded to the fact that we will see her and Ronda Rousey tangle eventually.
Then Lynch picked Charlotte Flair who needed no more convincing than to just accept the match and get a hug from Lynch in return. This is much different than when Flair wouldn’t accept the captain’s position of her SmackDown Survivor Series team.
Flair spoke to WWE after she received the honor of facing Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series.

“I have spent half my career fighting against Becky. Last night I fought with Becky and this Sunday I will fight for Becky and it’s going to my honor at Survivor Series when this Queen beats Ronda Rousey and proves SmackDown is the superior brand.”

This is an interesting decision WWE had to make because Rousey vs Flair was their rumored WrestleMania main event. Now it looks like we’re going to get that match much sooner.
