Shinsuke Nakamura was set to get a shot at the US Title but then a day before SmackDown, Nakamura was working out and the bomb squad came in when he was bitten by a dog.

This was terrible timing for Shinsuke Nakamura, but then again nobody wants to get bitten by a dog even if they don’t have a US Title shot on the calendar. He was able to make it to Japan but he was on crutches and just cut a promo in the ring before Samoa Joe came in and hit him with a Coquina Clutch to generate a ton of heat.

Bryan Alvarez recently brought up Shinsuke Nakamura’s injury on Wrestling Observer Live where he provided us an idea about how bad Nakamura’s injury is. Although he’s likely to recover just fine, only time will tell how fast Nakamura is able to get back to business.

“Apparently it’s fairly serious. I mean it’s not like he’s seriously injured in the sense that he may never recover. He flew to Japan and he was at the show. But serious enough that he got bitten on Monday and still on crutches and unable to compete.”

Hopefully, Shinsuke Nakamura is the last WWE Superstar who is ever bitten by a dog. Although it’s a strange situation there really isn’t anything funny about it, especially if you’re Nakamura.
