While discussing the possibilities of a rival company getting a television deal and going head-to-head with WWE, Mike Johnson ruled out the possibility of The Rock ever returning to professional wrestling full-time during the latest installment of PWInsider Elite Audio.

Johnson believes that you would need a strong marquee star to build a company around in order to get a television deal and there are very few names left.

And when you look at it, who’s out there that is a marquee star that you could build around? The easy answer is The Rock but I don’t see The Rock taking any time off from anything he’s doing to work on a wrestling project full-time. The Rock could certainly do it if he wanted to do it but I don’t see him ever wanting to do it.

Regarding The Rock appearing for WWE again or wrestling another match, it seems very unlikely in the near future at this time with The Rock’s busy schedule.
