Vince McMahon Re-Launching the XFL

Dave Meltzer reported on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon is re-launching the XFL but not under the parent company of WWE.

WWE has issued a statement saying that Vince McMahon will launch Alpha Entertainment, which will be separate from WWE because the WWE stock would tank if they announced the return of XFL. Vince is using his own money and not WWE’s money. Meltzer explained that Vince is looking at going into sports entertainment and he’s looking at Professional Football.

WWE started trademarking XFL a couple months ago and the announcement is expected to be made sometime next month.
