With the rumors of Brock Lesnar returning to UFC to fight Jon Jones, many have been questioning Lesnar’s status for next year’s WrestleMania event.

Bryan Alvarez discussed Lesnar’s status for next year’s WrestleMania event on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live and indicated that Lesnar would in fact be competing at next year’s WrestleMania 34 event. Alvarez said that a source within WWE has confirmed that he will “100% be at WrestleMania.”

In regards to his rumored UFC fight against Jones, the belief is that the fight won’t take place before WrestleMania 34. UFC was hopeful that he would be able to fight by the end of 2017, but Lesnar still has five months remaining on his suspension and still hasn’t re-entered the USDA testing pool.

WWE has a busy first quarter next year with the Royal Rumble event and WrestleMania build, so it’s very unlikely that they will give him the ‘green light’ to fight for UFC. WWE doesn’t want to risk Lesnar getting injured in a UFC fight and jeopardizing any WrestleMania plans that they may have.
