Zoey Stark is on the comeback trail—but fans waiting for her return may need a little more patience.

According Bodyslam.net, Stark’s recovery from a devastating triple knee injury is progressing well, and WWE is now targeting mid-2026 for her official return to action. While she’s been posting positive updates on social media, this new report gives a clearer picture of the internal timeline.

WWE officials are reportedly still very high on Stark and are already discussing creative plans for her next chapter—including a possible babyface turn. If that direction sticks, it would mark a major shift for the RAW star, who built her early main roster reputation with a gritty, aggressive persona.

This news follows her October 18 Instagram video, where she opened up about avoiding a serious setback during her rehab. After suffering a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during the May 19 episode of RAW, she underwent a three-hour surgery and months of intense rehab. At one point, doctors warned she might need a knee scope or a manipulation under anesthesia due to lack of mobility.

“In the last video, one of the reasons why I was having a hard time was because I was told that either I would have to get a scope done, which is where they go in, clean out my knee and scar tissue, or to get a manipulation under anesthesia,” Stark explained.

But things turned around, and she shared some real progress.

“But now we’re back on track. That did not have to happen. Thank God. Now I’m running, I’m jumping, I have full range of motions. Things are going great. Honestly, I’m happy. I’m blessed.”

Stark added that she’s eager to get back in the ring, closing her message with a smile.

“I really, really can’t wait to get back into the ring and get back to you guys. So that’s all—Stark out.”

While fans hoped for a return closer to WrestleMania 42, WWE is clearly playing the long game with her recovery—and it looks like they have big plans when she’s ready to go.

What do you think about Zoey Stark possibly returning as a babyface? Would you cheer for her in that role or prefer her stay on the darker side? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
