Zena Sterling Vents Frustrations Over WWE LFG Season 2 Role

Zena Sterling wasn’t able to win WWE LFG Season 1, but that didn’t bother her as she is already part of Season 2. However, she has now revealed her frustrations with being part of the second season.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray was asked why Zena Sterling felt frustrated during Season 2. Zena explained that the frustration comes from not being able to show everything she’s learned and improved on in the ring.

Sterling stated that she is more experienced than many of the other wrestlers this season, so when she has matches with them, she often has to slow down and keep things simple to help guide them through the match.

Zena said that while simple matches can still be good, she really wants to show the legends watching how much she’s grown since Season 1. But because she’s usually the one helping others, she can’t always do the more advanced things she’s capable of.

“I’d say the frustration for me is being able to have matches and show ways that I have improved and really show my fullest potential in the ring. Because the other competitors that I work with are a lot greener than me. So having to, you know, put—or take them through matches and talk them through matches and having to, in a sense, bring my skills down a level so that it’s not too difficult for whoever I’m going up against—and to make sure that we can have a great match.”

Sterling also mentioned that she’s proud to take on a leadership role and help her fellow wrestlers, but it can be hard because it means she doesn’t always get the chance to shine and show her best work. That’s been the toughest part of this season for her.

“Yes, you can have a great match with, you know, super simple basics, but there’s also so many things that I want to show the legends and, you know, show that I’ve improved on. But I think that’s just my biggest struggle right now—is being able to balance being a leader in a sense this season.”

This comes after Zena Sterling even admitted that she is happy she didn’t win Season 1 of WWE LFG. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Sterling can win Season 2 this time around as fans feel she more than deserves it.
