Zayda Steel’s AEW journey is just getting started—and now it’s official.

Tony Khan has confirmed that Zayda Steel has signed with All Elite Wrestling, marking a major step forward in her pro wrestling career. The announcement comes on the heels of her in-ring debut on AEW Collision: Maximum Carnage, where she faced off against Marina Shafir in a hard-fought match that ended with Steel tapping out to the Mother’s Milk submission.

Despite the loss, Steel’s signing proves AEW sees potential in the rising star. Before stepping into the AEW spotlight, Steel first made an impression in Ring of Honor, appearing on ROH TV in December and competing at Final Battle—where she lost to Leila Grey. In a twist of fate, Steel would go on to replace Grey in the Sky Flight faction following Grey’s injury, aligning herself with Scorpio Sky, Christopher Daniels, Dante Martin, and Darius Martin.

Prior to her AEW/ROH run, Steel was part of WWE’s NIL/ID program, but made the decision not to renew her WWE ID contract in October 2025, ultimately opting to take her talents to Tony Khan’s roster instead.

With a new contract in hand, a faction behind her, and her first AEW match already under her belt, Zayda Steel is poised for a fresh start—and plenty of eyes will be watching her next move.

Are you excited to see what Zayda Steel does next in AEW? Should Sky Flight become a major faction in the women’s division too? Share your thoughts in the comments.
