Jack Perry just made a surprising onscreen appearance—sort of.

In the newest Being The Elite episode, The Young Bucks are shown sulking after their loss at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where they teamed up with Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Gabe Kidd in a Lights Out Steel Cage match. The loss came when Hiroshi Tanahashi pinned Matt Jackson for the win, ending a chaotic multi-man battle that also involved Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Kota Ibushi, and Darby Allin.

While rewatching the match and drowning their sorrows in junk food, Matt and Nick Jackson suddenly get a call. The caller? Jack Perry. Without hesitation, they decline the call and continue watching the match—making Perry’s attempt to reach out a one-sided reunion effort that went nowhere.

This moment marks the first onscreen reference to Perry in months. He hasn’t been part of AEW programming since dropping the TNT Championship to Daniel Garcia back in November 2024. His last official match came in January at Wrestle Dynasty, where he lost to Yota Tsuji in an IWGP Global Heavyweight Title match. Since then, Perry has kept a low profile, with the only notable update being a June video he posted showing himself crafting knives.

Despite his absence, reports suggest Perry has not been dealing with any injuries. At one point, AEW internally discussed a potential feud between him and Kenny Omega, but those talks never turned into anything official. He was also reportedly backstage at AEW tapings in recent months, though nothing came of it.

This silent nod on BTE could be Perry testing the waters for a return or simply a tongue-in-cheek moment from the Bucks. Either way, fans now have a reason to wonder if the former Jungle Boy is plotting a comeback.
