The Young Bucks are gearing up for a comeback to AEW television, though the exact timing remains unclear.
Their third run as AEW Tag Team Champions ended on the October 30th episode of Dynamite when they dropped the titles to Private Party, despite previously defeating them at Wrestle Dynasty to retain.
While away from AEW, Matt and Nick Jackson haven’t been sitting idle. The duo has been making moves in NJPW, with their most recent match taking place on February 11, where they lost the IWGP Tag Team Titles. Outside the ring, Matt Jackson and his wife, Dana Massie, launched a new YouTube channel, Never Not Jet Lagged, giving fans a look into their passion for travel.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted, “While they haven’t returned yet, missing several California dates already, The Young Bucks were backstage at the show in Oceanside, CA.” While specifics on their AEW return remain under wraps, plans are in motion to get them back in the mix.
With the Bucks already backstage at AEW events, their return could be sooner rather than later. The question now is, what will they be walking into when they make their comeback? Will they go after the AEW Tag Team Titles once again, or does something else await?
