Yota Tsuji is done standing alone — and he’s bringing a new name into the fight.
At NJPW’s New Year Dash!! event, Tsuji officially announced the formation of a brand-new faction called Unbound Company, signaling a fresh direction for the former Los Ingobernables de Japon star.
Tsuji had been Unaffiliated ever since LIJ effectively collapsed in May 2024 following Tetsuya Naito’s exit from New Japan Pro-Wrestling. While some of the remaining LIJ members — including Hiromu Takahashi, El Desperado, and Shingo Takagi — continued as Unaffiliated, the group never rebranded or reorganized… until now.
Details are still scarce about who will officially join Unbound Company, but there were strong hints at New Year Dash!! that members of the Unaffiliated crew may be aligned with Tsuji moving forward.
Tsuji also made waves by restoring the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, officially retiring the IWGP World Heavyweight Title. The return of the original belt marks a symbolic reset, one that fans are already reacting to in a big way.
Will Unbound Company become NJPW’s next dominant faction? Who do you think will join Tsuji’s new crew? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
