Yasmín is opening up about a difficult chapter in her past, revealing that she did take legal action after an alleged incident but ultimately stopped short of pursuing it further because of fear and concern about the consequences for her child’s father.
During her appearance on La Nueva Polémica de la Lucha Libre, Yasmín spoke about the aftermath of the alleged assault she says occurred while she was pregnant. She explained that after seeking medical help and documenting what happened, she made the decision to formally report the incident. However, she admitted that continuing the legal process became overwhelming due to fear and emotional pressure.
She explained that while others encouraged her to move forward with the case because of the visible injuries she had suffered, fear of retaliation and worry about sending the father of her child to jail weighed heavily on her decision. Looking back, she described that moment as one of hesitation driven by fear rather than certainty.
“Cuando me pega, hago yo la denuncia. No di continuidad tontamente porque tenía mucho miedo. Le tenía mucho miedo y porque no quería pues ver al papá de mi hijo en la cárcel. Claro que esto pudo haber continuado a algo más grande, ¿no?”
Translation:
“When he hit me, I filed the complaint. I foolishly did not continue with it because I was very afraid. I was very afraid of him, and because I didn’t want to see my son’s father in jail. Of course, this could have continued into something much bigger, right?”
She described that fear as something that stayed with her long after the incident, shaping the way she handled the situation in the years that followed. The pressure of protecting her unborn child, combined with the emotional toll of the situation, led her to step back from continuing the case at that time.
Now, by speaking publicly about the experience, she appears to be addressing the reasons behind that decision and explaining why the original complaint did not move forward despite the seriousness of what she says happened. Her comments also shed light on how fear can influence decisions in high-stress situations involving family and legal consequences.
What are your thoughts on Yasmín’s decision to file a complaint but not continue out of fear? Do you think fear and family concerns play a bigger role in legal decisions than many people realize? Share your thoughts and leave your feedback in the comments.
