Xavier Woods isn’t going anywhere. The New Day star has officially re-signed with WWE after a contract negotiation period that nearly came down to the last minute.
Woods’ previous deal was set to expire in September 2025, but the two sides were able to work out a multi-year extension just in time. Sources told Fightful Select the agreement was only finalized last month, even though discussions had been going on for some time.
“The deal came down to the wire and was actually only finalized in September,” a source said.
There’s no word yet on whether fellow New Day member Kofi Kingston has signed a similar deal. Back in 2019, all three members of the group — Woods, Kingston, and Big E — signed matching contracts, but things may have changed since then due to injury-related time extensions that have yet to be confirmed.
Woods’ re-signing comes during a period where WWE has seen several contract standoffs and talent exits. Jazmyn Nyx, Killer Kross, and Santos Escobar have all recently walked after talks fell through.
The New Day remains one of WWE’s most iconic factions, and locking down Woods ensures the group will continue to be part of WWE’s future — at least for now.
