The New Day is regarded as one of the greatest tag teams in the history of WWE, and it’s not really hard to see why. They have been part of numerous historical matches and won tag team titles several times. Now it appears Xavier Woods recalled the interesting way the group was even made.

When the New Day made their debut as a group, they were initially heels but were eventually turned into babyfaces due to their rise in popularity. Prior to that, none of the members had a solid run in WWE.

For those who don’t remember, at Extreme Rules 2014, Miro squared off against R-Truth and Xavier Woods in a Two-On-One Handicap Match. At the event, Miro obliterated the two in just three minutes.

Xavier Woods took to Twitter and looked back on the match and revealed just how significant it really was. Woods stated that he had a mental snap during the match and it eventually led to the creation of The New Day.

This was also the day I mentally snapped and the aftermath was creating The New Day with

@TrueKofi and

@WWEBigE – we don’t always understand the journey but we need every bit of it to get to the goal.

Xavier Woods is determined to win a singles title in WWE and is quite confident about that fact. We will have to wait and see whether Woods will eventually win a singles title in the company.
