Austin talks about people criticizing a performer’s lack of moves in the ring. He says that Jake Roberts, Ric Flair and plenty of other iconic Superstars didn’t have to do anything to get a reaction. Austin himself admits to only having 4 or 5 moves, and X-Pac says he widdled his moveset down towards the end of his career as well because it’s pointless to do moves that don’t garner a reaction.
Austin recalls working with Ron Simmons early on in his career. He says Simmons was so powerful that it almost didn’t make any sense. X-Pac agrees and says that Simmons was the most explosively powerful performer he’s ever been in the ring with, even more explosive than Mark Henry.
Austin is asked if he’d consider working alongside The Rock in a movie role. He says he’d certainly consider it, and he’d be stupid not to. However, he points out that The Rock’s on a whole other level right now, and he’s very proud of what Rock has accomplished. He was always good friends with Rock, and he’s not one bit surprised by the success Rock has had in Hollywood because he’s so charismatic and goal oriented.
