Rogers is asked if he can find any positives in today’s product. He says that today’s performers are incredibly athletic, and that’s certainly a positive. It’s also not the performers’ fault hat they’re forced to work this new ‘flip flop’ style. Today’s performers didn’t have the same advantage as the older generations of performers, who broke into the business as 20-year olds working against 40-year old veterans every night learning the craft.

Rogers continues by saying that WWE is the industry leader and they determine where the business goes as a whole. If Vince McMahon banned dives, we wouldn’t see dives on television anymore and viewers would no longer expect to see them. He says that every performer only has so many bumps on their bump card and once they run out, that’s all she wrote.

Rogers sends his best wishes to his friend Matt Cappotelli who he trained at OVW. He still trains with Cappotelli now, and Cappotelli is currently battling brain cancer. Cappotelli’s health insurance has ran out and he’s going to be dealing with these health issues for the foreseeable future, so Rogers has set up a fundraiser show to help with the medical expenses.

Speaking about the issues he has with today’s current wrestling product, he says he can’t get behind ‘dick flips’ or wrestling against little girls. Everybody knows the business is a work and maybe these things shouldn’t bother him, but they still do. He still likes to treat the business as if it’s real, and that’s just his opinion.

That sums up today’s episode of X-Pac 1, 2, 360. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
