Speaking about his most recent run in WWE, Nash says he was only supposed to cost CM Punk the WWE Title at SummerSlam and then he was supposed to be done. WWE kept him around and he assumed a match with Punk would eventually happen but he’s not sure if Punk ever really wanted the match to happen. He recalls Punk owning him on the mic and he was never able to have any comebacks which bothered him, but Triple H is his friend and he didn’t want to complain.
Nash thought he was brought in to be a leader at the time so he tried his best to build chemistry within the locker room. He recalls buying bottles of wine and staying on bus late drinking with other Superstars in an effort to show them what the business was like 20 years earlier. Unfortunately the company didn’t like that and Triple H had to talk to him about it.
