X-Pac opens today’s show by saying he was very impressed by Saturday’s NXT Takeover event. He thought the show was paced well and when it seemed like one match stole the show, the next match started and managed to continue the momentum and in most cases build on it.

He thought Asuka and Ember Moon had a terrific bout for the NXT Women’s Title, and this was really a coming out party for Ember Moon. He points out that it’s tough to follow a really good tag team match, but these two women came out and tore the house down. He also liked the physical affair between Aleister Black and Hideo Itami.

He continues by saying that Bobby Roode and Drew McIntyre had a great main event to close the show, but obviously everyone is going to remember the end of the show and the debut of Adam Cole. X-Pac is intrigued to see where NXT creative takes Cole, Fish and O’Reilly moving forward.

X-Pac begins his discussion of SummerSlam. He says he was very angry that Superstars had to go out and perform in front of basically nobody to start the Kickoff show. The Hardys, Jason Jordan and The Miztourage all deserve better than that. Later on in the Kickoff show we saw The Usos take on The New Day, and X-Pac thought that was one of the better matches of the night.
