Jaida Parker’s surprise return to NXT on January 13 may have excited the live crowd—but behind the scenes, WWE has much bigger plans in store for her in 2026.
According to Sean Ross Sapp on The Hump, Parker’s comeback is part of a larger rebuild strategy for the NXT women’s division, and her injury absence was the only thing delaying her rise.
“From what I understand, she was hurt,” Sapp said, addressing her absence from WWE television since October 2025. “However, they are clearly working something out involving her and Blake Monroe. She is expected to be a very important part of NXT over the next year.”
Parker made her return during a segment with Blake Monroe, storming the ring and sending Monroe retreating before declaring, “I’m back!” to loud “Miss Parker” chants from the crowd. The energy of her return moment is exactly what WWE is looking to harness, as Sapp explained further:
“NXT needs to rebuild its roster, and getting Jaida back is a big boost for them. The brand has consistently done a strong job developing women’s wrestling talent, and this situation is no different. From what I was told, she will play an integral role on the show moving forward and be a key factor in NXT’s plans.”
With Parker now healthy and being positioned for a key storyline opposite Monroe, it’s clear WWE is betting big on her future—and fans should expect her to play a major role on NXT TV in the months leading to Stand & Deliver.
