The Street Profits’ absence from WWE TV hasn’t gone unnoticed—but the reason might be simpler than fans think.
While Dave Meltzer recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are off TV due to a creative decision and “neither of the Street Profits are hurt,” a key detail was left out: WWE was just overseas on tour, and the duo may have simply not been booked for the international trip.
Not every talent travels for overseas loops, especially when not involved in active storylines. That could easily explain their recent quiet stretch.
However, PWInsider is now reporting that the Street Profits are scheduled to work NXT live events this weekend.
With an NXT appearance looming and no reported injuries, it looks like WWE might be looking to “freshen up” the duo, possibly setting the stage for a retooled run on the main roster—or even something in NXT.
Do you think a brief run in NXT could reignite momentum for the Street Profits? Or should WWE already have them back on SmackDown? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
