It’s official: the WWE Network era on Peacock is over, and the massive wrestling archive fans once binged at will is gone—for now.
As of December 31, 2025, WWE’s video-on-demand content has started being removed from Peacock, following the end of key elements in the five-year deal between WWE and NBCUniversal’s streaming service. According to Fightful Select, no new agreement was reached to extend access to WWE’s vast content library, leaving classic shows, pay-per-views, and territory-era footage without a central streaming home.
The timing wasn’t a surprise to insiders, but it still hit fans hard—especially those hoping to relive iconic moments from the Attitude Era, ECW, WCW, and beyond. So what’s next? Fightful reports that WWE is expected to lean heavily into its social media presence to bridge the gap—specifically YouTube.
“It is believed that the content will slowly be rolled out on YouTube platforms, of which WWE is suspected to have a favorable deal with Google to post videos on, as they’re a top performing channel,” Fightful stated.
However, fans hoping for an instant upload of the full archive should temper expectations. Sources told Fightful that WWE has “no plans that we’ve heard of to simply mass release all their content, unless they reach a deal with a different platform to host their library.” In other words, WWE is actively exploring a “non-exclusive host” for its content, but don’t count on a Netflix-style drop anytime soon.
Still, not everything is leaving Peacock. Saturday Night’s Main Event and NXT Premium Live Events will continue to air under separate agreements, meaning WWE still has some presence on the platform—just not the deep cuts and legendary classics that made the full library so essential.
From Mid-South gems to classic WrestleManias, fans are left wondering where—and when—they’ll get to see it all again. One thing is clear: the central hub for WWE’s video legacy is gone, and the next chapter is still unfolding.
