Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre aren’t done with each other—far from it. After a chaotic episode of SmackDown on December 5, where Rhodes ambushed McIntyre in his truck, the next stage of their feud is already locked in.

According to BodySlam.net, WWE is planning another match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre “very soon.” While exact details are still under wraps, sources say the upcoming bout is expected to carry major storyline implications for both top stars.

“The feud between Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre is set to continue with another match taking place very soon. While specific match details are being kept tight, the expectation is that the next confrontation will have significant storyline implications for both men.”

This comes after SmackDown opened with McIntyre arriving in his truck—only to be told by GM Nick Aldis that he was still suspended despite competing at Survivor Series: WarGames. As McIntyre left, Rhodes jumped into the passenger seat and attacked him. The two brawled briefly before McIntyre kicked Rhodes out and sped off.

Rhodes didn’t stop there. He stormed the ring and called out Aldis, demanding that McIntyre be reinstated. Then he cut a scathing promo comparing McIntyre to a “cockroach,” calling him relentless and unkillable.

WWE has yet to confirm when or where their rematch will happen, but the feud clearly isn’t cooling off—if anything, it’s about to get more personal.
