Despite two WWE Superstars getting hurt while working matches with Jade Cargill during the Holiday Tour, the WWE Women’s Champion isn’t catching any backstage heat — at least not yet.
During a recent Q&A session, WrestleVotes addressed fan concerns over whether WWE was placing any blame on Cargill after both Michin and B-Fab were pulled from live event matches due to injuries. WrestleVotes made it clear there was no heat on Cargill for the injuries but that could change if more injuries happen under her watch.
"There’s no heat on Jade. Injuries happen, and it just so happens that the injuries coming out of the house shows both happened with her in the ring. There’s no heat on her — I haven’t heard that there is. She’s in the clear, but that can change if more people start getting hurt under her watch.”
Michin suffered a shoulder injury during the tour and was yanked from the remaining shows. She had been working matches with Cargill, including a planned SmackDown bout that was later scrapped. In storyline, Cargill even cut a promo taking credit for Michin’s injury, calling it a “warning” to the rest of the women’s division.
B-Fab was later tapped as a replacement for Michin, but she was also pulled from action after what’s believed to be a possible concussion — another match involving Cargill. WWE hasn’t confirmed her status yet, but officials reportedly made the call as a precaution.
At the moment, Jade Cargill remains in WWE’s good graces — but with more attention now on her matches, things could change quickly if another injury happens.
Do you think Jade Cargill is getting unfair criticism for the recent injuries? Or should WWE be keeping a closer eye on her matches? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
