Danhausen’s chaotic Elimination Chamber debut wasn’t a one-night surprise — it was the start of an official WWE run.
According to PWInsider on February 28, 2026, Danhausen has officially signed with WWE. The report confirms that his appearance during the mystery crate reveal at Elimination Chamber in Chicago marked the beginning of his tenure with the company.
PWInsider also noted that WWE went to notable lengths to keep the debut secret. The company reportedly kept Danhausen hidden outside of Chicago in the days leading up to the event to avoid fan sightings or leaks that could spoil the surprise.
That secrecy explains why, despite Chicago being one of wrestling’s most heavily monitored cities during major events, no credible backstage photos or airport sightings surfaced ahead of the show.
Danhausen was revealed after weeks of hype surrounding a mysterious crate. During the February 28 Premium Live Event, Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce opened the crate with crowbars, unveiling a coffin inside. Vampire-like dancers emerged before Danhausen appeared with new entrance music. The live reaction was mixed, and social media quickly filled with divided opinions.
Triple H addressed the moment on the official post-show but offered little clarity when asked by Jackie Redmond: “Me not commenting on the crate and Danhausen. Michael Cole’s got a nice bucket of teeth. I think we’re in for a fun time.”
With a contract now confirmed, the focus shifts from whether the debut “worked” to what WWE actually plans to do with him moving forward. The crate reveal may have divided fans, but it accomplished one key goal — it got people talking.
