WWE could be lining up one of the biggest crossover appearances of the year as talks continue with NFL legend Tom Brady ahead of WrestleMania 42.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion has already stirred conversation across both sports and wrestling circles after taking playful shots at pro wrestling in recent weeks. Now, new details suggest those moments may not have been random at all.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is currently in negotiations with Brady about appearing at WrestleMania 42, which is scheduled for April 18 and 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. While nothing has been finalized yet, the discussions themselves suggest WWE is serious about bringing Brady into the mix. Meltzer explained that talks are ongoing, but a finalized agreement hasn’t been reached at this stage.

“From what I have been told, they are in negotiations for Tom Brady but there’s absolutely not a deal at this point for Tom Brady.”

The potential connection between Brady and WWE has been gaining traction recently, especially due to his involvement in public back-and-forth moments that appear to tie into Logan Paul’s ongoing presence in WWE. Meltzer noted that fans may already be seeing early seeds planted for a storyline direction involving the two.

“So it could happen, obviously Logan Paul and Tom Brady are working, everyone knows they’re working the angle I think people have seen that coming in, but there could be something in some form at WrestleMania.”

Brady’s recent comments about pro wrestling — which initially sparked reactions from wrestlers online — are now being viewed differently in light of the reported negotiations. Meltzer suggested that those comments may have been intentionally used to build attention and momentum toward a possible WrestleMania involvement.

“It would not be a surprise and what they did in the football game was clearly to build it, all the talk of Tom Brady cutting down pro wrestlers and all the wrestlers responding, that is all storyline.”

He also made it clear that Brady’s public remarks shouldn’t be interpreted as disrespect toward wrestling, suggesting instead that the comments were likely part of a larger entertainment strategy.

“That is not Tom Brady’s a d**k and he doesn’t respect pro wrestling.”

If a deal ultimately comes together, Brady joining WrestleMania 42 would follow WWE’s long-standing tradition of bringing in major sports figures for crossover appearances. With Las Vegas hosting the two-night event, the stage is already set for celebrity involvement, and Brady’s presence would instantly add mainstream visibility to the show.

For now, negotiations remain ongoing, and nothing has been officially confirmed. Still, the possibility of Brady stepping into a WWE storyline — particularly alongside Logan Paul — is already fueling speculation about what role he could play if talks reach the finish line.
