Survivor Series 2025 isn’t just about brand warfare—it’s about launching WWE straight into WrestleMania season.

According to Ibou from Self Made Pro, the November 29 Premium Live Event will do more than settle scores inside WarGames. WWE is reportedly gearing up to reveal the WrestleMania 42 main event plans immediately following Survivor Series, with major storyline moves expected during the post-show week of television.

"I had been told by someone close to the situation about two weeks ago that the plan was to make the WrestleMania main event clear coming out of WarGames and on the week of television following Survivor Series."

Ibou compared the move to a previous WWE tactic from 2023, when Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns faced off during the SmackDown season premiere to subtly lock in their eventual WrestleMania 40 showdown.

"I’d imagine it’d be similar to when they had Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns face off on the fall 2023 SmackDown season premiere to tell you that was still on track for WM40."

The stakes are higher than ever heading into Survivor Series. The Men’s WarGames match features top stars like Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes on one side, going to war with Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, and the Vision’s Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker. With that level of talent stacked inside the double cage, it’s no stretch to assume the outcome could spark a path straight to the main event of WrestleMania 42.

Whether it’s Punk vs. Cody, Reigns vs. Lesnar one more time, or a brand-new collision fans didn’t expect, WWE seems ready to use WarGames as the springboard for their biggest show of the year.
