Just one day before the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, WWE’s international travel plans hit a weather snag—the company’s charter flight was delayed by seven hours due to inclement weather.

According to Fightful Select on January 30, the flight eventually took off without issue, and everything reportedly ran smoothly once in the air, with talent and staff now confirmed to have landed safely in Saudi Arabia.

"WWE's plane for Saudi Arabia left about 7 hours late due to inclement weather, but everything after that was smooth."

The update comes amid growing speculation around surprise entrants in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. One of the biggest names now in the conversation is NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, who was previously scheduled for U.S.-based NXT house shows this weekend but has since been rerouted to Riyadh.

PWInsider reported that Jayne is officially traveling to Saudi Arabia, which is notable—WWE rarely pulls booked talent from shows unless there’s a bigger plan in motion. Internally, WWE has also discussed names like Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and even AAA’s Mr. Iguana as possible Rumble participants, but Jayne’s travel change appears to be a more definitive signal.

With talent now on the ground and the 2026 Royal Rumble set to take place January 31 at King Abdullah Financial District, the road to WrestleMania 42 remains intact.

Do you think the delay could’ve impacted WWE’s last-minute plans? Who are you hoping shows up as a surprise in the Royal Rumble? Drop your predictions below.
