Becky Lynch didn’t mince words when she dropped a disturbing claim during her recent appearance on Something’s Burning—alleging that a male WWE star used his position to manipulate and punish female wrestlers based on whether they slept with him or not. While she didn’t name the individual, Lynch’s quote sent shockwaves through the industry and prompted a deeper conversation about power dynamics in the locker room.

“I’m not going to name names, but there was a guy on the main roster who was like, ‘Be careful. Be careful, because if—one, he’ll try to sleep with you. If he sleeps with you, then he’ll blacklist you. And if he tries to sleep with you and you don’t sleep with him, he’ll also blacklist you.’”

She went further, explaining the constant tension women faced just trying to navigate backstage relationships in WWE without derailing their careers.

“There was always this thing of, like, if you get into a relationship and things go south, they’re not going to fire the guy. They’re always going to fire the girl. You know? So it was a very, very scary thing.”

Now, Fightful Select has revealed that they reached out to over two dozen WWE talents to find out who Lynch may have been referring to—and came up empty.

“None of the talent we spoke with claimed they knew.”

What’s more, it was reportedly intimated to Fightful that WWE would internally look into the matter following Lynch’s remarks, but there’s been no follow-up yet. They’ve continued asking around, but so far, no names have surfaced and no one is publicly taking responsibility or pointing fingers.

It remains unclear whether WWE has actively launched an internal investigation or if the matter is quietly being handled behind closed doors.

This unsettling moment shines a spotlight on a side of the wrestling business that has long been swept under the rug. Lynch’s account adds to the growing list of past abuses in the industry—and the silence surrounding it shows how far there is still to go.

Do you think WWE should publicly address these allegations and take stronger steps toward transparency? Share your thoughts below—we want to hear what you think.
