Pete Dunne has been turning heads inside the ring for years, but now he’s doing the same from behind the curtain.

According to AAA announcer Roberto Figueroa, Dunne is currently working as a producer for AAA, helping guide the promotion with WWE-level structure and insight.

During an interview with Aldo Farias, Figueroa revealed that Dunne was backstage at AAA’s July 25 tapings alongside Jeremy Borash and Norman Smiley, bringing a fresh layer of experience to the show’s production.

“Pete Dunne was also there, now working as a producer. Along with Borash and Norman Smiley, they’re helping guide the product—bringing WWE-level structure while still letting AAA be AAA. It’s not about changing everything—it’s about making what’s already good even better.”

Dunne’s role may come as a surprise to fans who mostly associate him with WWE’s in-ring action, but his shift into producing highlights just how versatile he is. While it’s not confirmed whether Dunne will also produce the upcoming Triplemania show, his involvement already reflects WWE’s growing footprint in Latin America.

Figueroa also pointed to WWE’s commitment to the region, noting that Borash—now director of WWE Latin America—was deeply involved backstage.

“Jeremy Borash is someone we’ve known for a long time. I remember him from The Crash and when he came to Monterrey. Now, he’s the director of WWE Latin America. He was present at the AAA tapings, working backstage and being part of everything that’s happening. That tells you a lot. WWE trusts the Latin American market so much that they’re sending people like him to oversee and support this evolution of AAA.”

It’s clear WWE isn’t just dipping its toes into AAA—they’re investing talent, strategy, and trusted people to push the product forward. Pete Dunne becoming a part of that process adds a new layer to his career—and proves he’s just as valuable behind the scenes as he is in the ring.
