All good things eventually come to an end, and that seems to be the case for several long-time WWE staff members. Unfortunately, a number of employees were let go this week as part of the company’s ongoing changes.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful took to Twitter and noted that this week saw another round of WWE staff layoffs as part of the ongoing restructuring under TKO Group Holdings. On Thursday, several internal employees were let go, though no talent releases were reported. He stated that the cuts were directly tied to restructuring efforts.

“I’m told that there were a few staff layoffs in WWE today, as a result of restructuring. I’ve heard of no talent releases.”

This continues a pattern that started after WWE joined with UFC to form TKO Group Holdings in 2023, which has already led to several rounds of staff cuts. The latest layoffs come at a busy time for WWE, with the last SmackDown before Clash in Paris airing today and the big international event happening in France on Sunday.

So far, no names or departments have been confirmed in this wave of layoffs. So while WWE might be moving ahead with big international events and record-breaking shows, but behind the scenes, the restructuring is still happening. This latest round of layoffs just goes to show the tough costs that come with corporate mergers in the wrestling world and it’s likely more layoffs will happen in the future.

Do you think WWE’s restructuring under TKO will stabilize soon, or will staff layoffs continue into 2026? Sound off in the comments.
