The May 2, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown delivered another packed night on the USA Network, continuing the push toward WWE Backlash. This marks one of SmackDown’s lowest totals of 2025, largely impacted by a massive NBA Playoff matchup between the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, which drew 4.6 million viewers and a 1.40 demo rating on ESPN.
