The January 23 episode of Friday Night SmackDown is expected to be an exciting show. WWE has planned a strong lineup to keep fans interested from start to finish, with plenty of action and several memorable moments throughout the night.
SmackDown will feature an open invitation to AJ Styles, issued by Nick Aldis ahead of his looming career-threatening match against GUNTHER at the Royal Rumble. So we’ll have to see what Styles will do on the show.
WWE Tag Team Champions The Wyatt Sicks will put their titles on the line against Solo Sikoa’s MFT faction, continuing a bitter battle for control of SmackDown’s tag division. WWE has yet to confirm which MFT members will step up to challenge Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis, so fans will likely know when the show starts.
The Women’s Tag Team division headlines SmackDown with a triple-threat #1 contenders match, following last week’s brawl that saw Nia Jax and Lash Legend interfere in a tag bout involving Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss and Giulia & Kiana James. So it remains to be seen who will come out on top.
Trick Williams will be going one-on-one with Damian Priest. Finally, Nathan Frazer will square off against Johnny Gargano in singles competition.
Tonight’s WWE SmackDown promises to deliver high drama and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With appearances from AJ Styles and more, it’s bound to be a show you won’t want to miss.
