SmackDown Live opens with Renee Young inviting Shinsuke Nakamura down to the ring.

Before Nakamura can speak, Dolph Ziggler interrupts and comes to the ring. Renee leaves the ring as the fans chant for Nakamura. Dolph asks who Nakamura looked up to as a kid, and before Shinsuke can speak, Dolph takes the mic away and says that he will translate. He says that Nakamura said his favourite wrestler has always been Dolph Ziggler, a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Ziggler asks another question but Shinsuke won’t entertain it. Dolph says that Nakamura isn’t who he claims he is, he’s actually called Michael and he was born in Indiana. Dolph makes it out as though Nakamura is Michael Jackson, who disappeared only to resurface as Shinsuke Nakamura in Japan. He says Nakmaura translates to overrated freak.

Nakamura takes the mic from Dolph and says it’s his turn. He asks Dolph what his problem, then takes the microphone away from him before he answers. Nakamura translates into Japanese before saying “jackass”. Ziggler kicks Nakamura in the gut, then looks for a superkick but Nakamura catches him with an inverted exploder suplex. Nakamura looks for his finisher, Kinshasa, but Ziggler rolls from the ring before he can hit it.

This interview just got PHYSICAL! @ShinsukeN has turned the tables on @HEELZiggler! #SDLive pic.twitter.com/wJzl3wqENy

Later tonight we will see Charlotte challenge Naomi for the Women’s Championship. We get a quick advertisement for Payback.

*Commercial Break*

We return to see that Kevin Owens has joined the commentary team. Owens quickly mentions his upcoming title match with Chris Jericho, before saying he isn’t intimidated by either Jericho or AJ Styles – who is making his way to the ring.

AJ Styles Vs. Baron Corbin

The bell rings and both men circle for a while before Styles ducks the lock-up. Styles looks to kick Corbin but the Lone Wolf catches his foot and shoves him away.

AJ gets a headlock on Corbin and holds firm as Baron tries to Irish whip him. AJ maintains the headlock for a long time, until eventually Corbin does manages to throw him away. Styles looks for a shoulder block but hits a brick wall in the form of the Lone Wolf, sending AJ flying back into the ropes where Corbin knee’s him through and out to the floor. We head to commercial with Corbin regaining some composure.

*Commercial Break*

We return to see clips from during commercial, in which Corbin was in complete control. Corbin has AJ in a chicken wing variation but The Phenomenal One fights out, only to be thrown into the corner. Corbin catches AJ by the throat and give shim a chokeslam-backbreaker for a near-fall.

Corbin takes mount and pounds AJ with stiff forearms. Corbin takes AJ to the top rope and looks for a Superplex but Styles drops down between his legs and pulls him down face-first onto the turnbuckle. Styles lands a Pele Kick, then a running forearm in the corner. A sliding forearm from AJ earns him a two-count.

Styles looks for a Styles Clash but Corbin holds onto the ropes. AJ punches Corbin away as he stands on the apron. Kevin Owens distracts Styles but gets kicked away. AJ leaps for the Phenomenal Forearm but Corbin ducks. Styles manages to roll-up Corbin for the win!

Winner: AJ Styles

As soon as the match ends, Kevin Owens runs in and attacks AJ. Styles gets double-teamed by Owens and Corbin, allowing Sami Zayn to run-in and make the save! Owens leaves the ring and Sami hits Corbin with a Helluva Kick. Owens returns and attacks Sami, then lands a Pop-Up Powerbomb on Styles. Owens holds the title and screams that it’s his to AJ.

We see Charlotte warming-up backstage. Dasha asks Charlotte about her match tonight, to which Charlotte says gold runs through her veins. She says she did everything there was to do on Raw, and now the Queen is in need of a new Kingdom. She says she will prove tonight that she is the best superstar in WWE history and eschews Dasha away.

American Alpha will take on The Colon’s, as part of the Beat The Clock Challenge, after the break.

The ⏱ is ticking, but which team will set the time to beat in this #SDLive #BeatTheClock Challenge: #AmericanAlpha or #TheColons?! pic.twitter.com/DTEUKL3PKW

Epico picks Gable up and delivers a back breaker. He tags Primo who geos for the cover but another kick out. A bodyslam and leg drop combo from the brothers for a near-fall. A russian leg sweep by Primo. Epico gets in the ring as they double team Gable, Jordan gets in and cleans house. Jordan picks up Primo and they deliver the Grand Amplitude. Later tonight, Breezango will face The Ascension and one of them will have to beat that time in order to face The Uso’s.

Randy Orton will face Erick Rowan in a No Disqualification match tonight. Up next, Rusev addresses to his place on SmackDown Live and, perhaps the situation with Lana.

*Commercial Break*

We see a video of Rusev, in which he says he doesn’t like SmackDown Live GM Daniel Bryan, nor Commissioner Shane McMahon. He says the only way he would come wrestle on SmackDown Live is if they give him a championship match at Money in the Bank. Otherwise, he might just go back to Bulgaria.

Now THAT’S an ultimatum! Either @shanemcmahon gives @RusevBUL a championship match at #MITB or #Rusev goes BACK to BULGARIA! #SDLive pic.twitter.com/ky3u9SirHR

— WWE (@WWE) April 26, 2017

Backstage Becky Lynch is getting interviewed. Regarding Charlotte, she says she’s doesn’t like her methods but she can appreciate Charlotte getting results. She gets interrupted by Natalya, Carmella and Tamina. Nathalya says she’s either with them or against them. Ellsworth echoes the statement and Carmella tells her to choose wisely.
