AJ Lee will be returning to WWE after over a decade, since she’ll be competing at Wrestlepalooza this month. However, WWE hasn’t outright confirmed that yet but it seems WWE Shop accidentally spoiled Lee’s impending return.
A fan took to Twitter and asked WWE Shop why there was no AJ Lee merchandise available and joked about having to wear “normal clothes” to watch SmackDown this week.
“Hey @wweshop WHERE’S THE AJ LEE MERCH!??! What am i meant to wear on Friday when i watch Smackdown??? NORMAL CLOTHES?!?!”
In response, WWE Shop accidentally spoiled AJ Lee’s return. The account replied that with AJ Lee returning to the ring, new merchandise is planned, hopefully in time for WrestlePalooza. They encouraged fans to sign up for email alerts to be the first to grab the upcoming gear. Unsurprisingly, they would end up deleting the tweet as well.
“Hey there! Of course, we wouldn’t expect that. With AJ Lee’s return to the ring, we are looking to have some 🔥 gear hopefully in time for Wrestlepalooza. Be sure you’re signed up for emails and get the latest updates on new live inventory. Happy shopping!”
While it’s unfortunate WWE Shop just spoiled AJ Lee’s return, it’s clear she’s returning and fans are still hyped about it in a big way. After all, we have reported that her return won’t be just a one-off, so fans can expect to see her more often on WWE programming once she’s back. So we’ll just have to see how she’ll be booked in the coming weeks.
