WrestleMania is headed back to Las Vegas—and this time, WWE is cashing in big. For the second straight year, Allegiant Stadium will host the Show of Shows, and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is ready to spend serious money to make it happen.

According to a new report from LV Sports Biz, the LVCVA board is planning to approve a $6 million payout to WWE to support WrestleMania 42 in April 2026. The decision will be finalized at the next board meeting on Wednesday, November 12. The agency, funded through hotel room taxes, regularly invests in large-scale events to drive tourism—and rarely gets any pushback when writing these kinds of checks.

The meeting agenda spells out why the LVCVA is so eager to pay WWE:

“For the second year in a row, Las Vegas will serve as the stage for WWE’s premier event, marking the first time any city has hosted back-to-back WrestleManias since 1989. In 2025, WrestleMania 41 attracted 124,000 fans to Allegiant Stadium and generated more than 140,000 estimated incremental room nights tied to the weeklong series of WWE events.”

Along with the massive two-night WrestleMania event on April 18–19, WWE will also bring Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World, and the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to the Strip—plus community events across Southern Nevada.

LVCVA CEO Steve Hill has made it no secret that he’s all-in on bringing WWE back to town. He previously praised the economic value of the event, which drew global fans and packed out Vegas hotels.

“WWE will bring Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World and the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to Las Vegas, as well as a variety of community outreach events designed to give back to Southern Nevada.”

While WWE is set to profit, fans are already groaning over ticket prices and sky-high hotel rates for WrestleMania weekend. Even so, WWE’s grip on Vegas isn’t loosening any time soon. This marks the first time since 1989 that a city has landed back-to-back WrestleManias—proving WWE’s draw is worth every dollar to the city’s tourism board.
