Fans thought WWE was steering MFT toward a collision course with the Wyatt Sicks, but those plans have been dropped for now.
According to BodySlam.net, WWE originally mapped out a storyline between the two factions, but creative shifted once Sami Zayn moved to SmackDown and became the United States Champion.
“There was a plan for an MFT vs. Wyatt Sicks feud to begin. However, plans seemed to have changed for now. With Sami Zayn moving to SmackDown, and holding the U.S. Championship, there was a shifting of creative for the MFT.”
Zayn’s rise has already included a major feud with Solo Sikoa, which culminated in Zayn capturing the U.S. Title and closing out their rivalry. With that storyline settled, WWE’s direction for MFT is being reworked, leaving the Wyatt Sicks without their expected opponents.
This move shows just how quickly WWE’s creative can change based on roster movement and title shifts. While the Wyatt Sicks vs. MFT feud had potential, it looks like fans will have to wait and see if WWE circles back to the idea in the future.
