Saturday Night’s Main Event is finally upon us and it is expected to be an exciting show. That’s why WWE has booked a solid card for the event, ensuring that fans will have a great time from start to finish.
Cody Rhodes will be duking it out with Jacob Fatu in singles competition. This comes after Fatu cost Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Championship during the January 9th edition of SmackDown, leading to Drew McIntyre walking out as the champion. So we’ll have to see if Rhodes will get some measure of revenge on the Samoan Werewolf.
Randy Orton will face off against Sami Zayn, Damian Priest and Trick Williams in order to determine who will challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Title at the Royal Rumble next month. All four competitors have an equal chance of walking away the winner, so it remains to be seen who will earn the right to face the Scottish Warrior next week.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will be on the line as Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY defend against Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez. Morgan and Perez earned this opportunity by winning a three-team No. 1 Contender’s match on the January 12 episode of Raw, outlasting Bayley & Lyra Valkyria and The Kabuki Warriors. So now fans are waiting to see if Morgan and Perez can end up dethroning Ripley and SKY once and for all.
During the January 23rd edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura approached AJ Styles. Shinsuke confronted AJ Styles and made it clear he wanted another match before Styles retires. That’s when WWE officially confirmed that Nakamura and Styles would get to square off against each other one last time at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
