WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Results (7/12/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

Joe Tessitore and Jesse Ventura are your hosts. They talk about Bill Goldberg’s retirement match happening tonight.

Jesse says Goldberg needs to finish the match fast because age isn’t on his side. The longer it goes, the more it favors Gunther. Jesse also brings up Randy Orton, saying he knows Randy’s father and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. He says this one’s going to be a war.

Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre

Drew lands a kick and throws some punches. He climbs the turnbuckles and keeps hitting Randy, but Randy fires back. Randy clotheslines Drew over the top rope to the floor. He follows him outside and tries to hit a back drop driver on the announce table, but Drew blocks it and counters with a back drop of his own—then hits a second one on the table. We’re back and Randy throws some punches, but Drew sends him into the ropes with an Irish whip. Drew follows up with a boot to the head and a hard chop. Randy doesn’t flinch and answers with a clothesline out of the corner after another Irish whip.

Randy hits a second clothesline, but when he goes for his signature powerslam, Drew holds on to the ropes to block it. Drew lands a headbutt, but this time Randy connects with the powerslam. He drags Drew outside and drops him with a back drop driver onto the announce table—then does it again, and then a third time for good measure. Randy turns his attention to Logan, taking a shot at him before going back to Drew. But Drew catches him coming in with a double throat thrust.

We head to a commercial break.

Randy hits Drew with a hanging DDT and drops down for the RKO push-ups. Just then, Logan Paul hops onto the apron and distracts him. Drew takes advantage and nails Randy with a Claymore, but Randy manages to get his foot on the rope to break the pin.

At ringside, Jelly Roll and Logan go face to face. Logan shoves Jelly, and Jelly shoves him right back to the ground.

Drew notices the commotion and invites Jelly into the ring. Jelly points at Drew, and Drew sets up for the Future Shock DDT—but Randy pops up and hits an RKO out of nowhere for the three-count.

Winner: Randy Orton

After the match, Logan attacks Randy with punches, then mounts him and keeps swinging. Jelly Roll hesitates but eventually gets into the ring. He sneaks up behind Logan and slams him down. Logan tries to strike back, but Jelly blocks the punch and hits Logan with one of his own. Jelly checks on Randy—only for Drew to nail him with a sudden Claymore. Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce rush out, shouting at Drew.

We go to commercial.

We’re back and Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce are still yelling at Drew and Logan, trying to restore order.

In the crowd, several wrestlers are shown watching—until Naomi suddenly attacks Jade Cargill from behind with a double sledge to the back. Officials rush in to separate them, but Jade lands a forearm before sending Naomi flying over the announce table. Naomi pops right back up and hits a splash off the table onto Jade. Jade rolls into the ring while Naomi climbs on top of the announce table, still fired up.

Nick Aldis takes a mic and says that’s enough. He thought they could wait until tomorrow night, but clearly they can’t. He says he was going to make the announcement privately—but now he’s doing it right here. Nick announces the special guest referee for the match: Bianca Belair.

United States Championship: Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jimmy Uso

Uso lands punches and chops, but Solo answers with a back elbow. Uso ducks down, and Solo tumbles over the top rope to the floor. Uso follows with a suicide dive, crashing into Solo—and the ringside barrier.

Uso quickly rolls back into the ring before the House of Bloodline can get involved. Solo returns, but Uso greets him with punches. Solo sends Uso to the apron, but Uso strikes back and climbs to the top rope. Solo catches him and delivers a uranage for a near fall.

Uso fires back with a punch, a kick, and a shoulder. He tries a slingshot move, but Solo cuts him off with an uppercut. Tala then levels Uso with a clothesline.

We go to commercial.

We’re back and both men are fighting on the apron. Solo tries a suplex, but Uso blocks it. They trade punches until Solo rams Uso into the ring post. Uso recovers with a superkick, then grabs a waist lock. Solo resists, but Uso hits a German suplex. Uso hits a crossbody for a near fall, then lands a running hip attack. He heads to the top rope and connects with a frog splash, but Solo kicks out.

Uso sets up for a spear, but Solo counters with a kick, drives him into the turnbuckles, and follows with a uranage. Solo goes for the Samoan Spike, but Uso ducks and hits a superkick—then another. Uso climbs the turnbuckles again.

Solo rolls to the floor, and Uso dives with a twisting swanton onto Solo, Mateo, and Loa. Back in the ring, Tala misses a kick, and Uso hits a superkick. As he turns back, Solo rolls him up and Tala grabs Uso’s leg to secure the pin.

Winner: Solo Sikoa (still champion)

After the match, Tala kicks Uso. Mateo and Loa join in and beat him down. They hold him up, and Solo nails the Samoan Spike. Suddenly, Jacob Fatu’s music hits, and he storms to the ring.

Fatu takes out Mateo and Loa with punches. He superkicks Loa and splashes Mateo. Then, he splashes Loa again and hits running hip attacks on both. As he hypes up, Tala steps into the ring and walks toward Fatu. Fatu throws punches, but Tala connects with a boot to the head. Tala charges, but Fatu ducks, and Tala goes flying over the top rope. Fatu follows with a suicide dive onto both Tala and Solo. Back in the ring, Fatu performs an interpretive dance as Solo and the rest of the Bloodline retreat to the back.

Another Goldberg video package airs.

We’re back and Randy Orton is backstage, apologizing to Jelly Roll for bringing him out there. Cathy Kelley asks Randy for a comment. Randy says he never should’ve had Jelly out there with Drew and Logan. Jelly Roll replies, saying he’s a grown man and they’ve underestimated him. He wants a piece of both of them—anywhere, anytime. Randy looks at Cathy and simply says, “SummerSlam.”

LA Knight vs. Seth Rollins

Knight backs Seth into the corner, but Seth slips to the ropes. Seth lands a shot to the ribs, and they trade punches. Knight hits a back elbow. He tries for a suplex, but his injured ribs stop him from lifting Seth. Seth counters and gets back dropped to the floor. Knight follows with a dropkick through the ropes, then repeatedly slams Seth into the announce table. Knight climbs up and nails a clothesline off the table.

We go to commercial.

We’re back and Seth has Knight locked in a body scissors. Knight fights out and lands punches. Seth responds with a gutbuster, then heads to the top rope and hits a frog splash for a near fall.

Knight blocks a punch and fires back with shots of his own. Seth hits a shot to the midsection but misses the Black Out. Knight counters with a neckbreaker, then follows with the double jump YEAHlbow for a two-count.

Knight keeps the pressure on with kicks in the corner and a running hip attack. He goes for the BFT, but Seth slips out and moves to the apron. Seth hits a shoulder to the gut and climbs up top, but Knight cuts him off with a punch.

Knight lands a chop and goes for a superplex. Seth shoves him down, but Knight jumps back up for another try. Seth slips underneath and hits a buckle bomb. Seth goes for Black Out again but misses. Knight tries a belly-to-back suplex but can’t lift Seth due to his ribs. Seth responds with an elbow and a springboard senton, then goes for a quebrada, but Knight moves and Seth lands hard, tweaking his knee.

The referee holds Knight back while checking on Seth and speaks with Paul. Medical staff enters to check on Seth. He whispers something to the doctor while the referee is still distracted. Knight suddenly strikes with a kick and nails the BFT for the win.

Winner: LA Knight

Another Goldberg video package airs.

We’re back and the dream tag match is now official for SummerSlam: Jelly Roll and Randy Orton will face Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: GUNTHER (c) vs. Goldberg

They lock up but neither man gains an edge. Gunther throws a kick and tries a shoulder block, but Goldberg holds his ground. Gunther lands a chop, smiles, and hits another with no effect. Goldberg fires back with a clothesline, then some punches and a short-arm clothesline.

Goldberg sets up for the Jackhammer, but Gunther slips out and lands punches. Gunther climbs to the top, but Goldberg catches him with a press slam. Goldberg sets up for a spear, but Gunther sees it coming and rolls to the floor. Goldberg follows and kicks Gunther in the leg. Gunther responds with a kick and more chops. Goldberg goes for a spear outside the ring, but Gunther moves and Goldberg crashes through the ringside barrier.

We go to commercial.

We’re back and Gunther is targeting Goldberg’s surgically repaired knee. Goldberg fights back with an elbow, and they trade chops. Gunther kicks the knee again, but Goldberg lands jabs and a spinebuster. He follows with more punches and a corner kick. They exchange strikes until Gunther kicks the knee once more, but Goldberg answers with a back body drop.

Goldberg charges for a spear, but Gunther moves and the referee takes the hit. Goldberg checks on the ref, and Gunther takes advantage—kicking Goldberg in the back of the leg, then stomping him as he tries to remove the knee brace. Gunther grabs Goldberg’s knee brace and hits him with it—twice. He then walks over to Goldberg’s son at ringside, taunting him with the brace. Gunther shoves him, and the son tries to jump the barricade, but security holds him back.

Back in the ring, Goldberg explodes with a spear and signals for the Jackhammer. He hits it, and a referee rushes down for the count—but Gunther kicks out at two.

Gunther quickly locks in a sleeper hold with body scissors. Goldberg struggles, fights to a seated position, but eventually collapses back to the mat. The referee checks him and calls for the bell.

Winner: Gunther (still champion)

We go to commercial.

We’re back and Michael Cole is in the ring with Bill Goldberg, surrounded by friends and family. Goldberg says he doesn’t think he’s ever lost in Atlanta before. He thanks the crowd, saying the fans have been incredible and he couldn’t have done it without them.
