WWE’s Royal Rumble 2025 isn’t just breaking records in the ring—it’s dominating Netflix, too. The streaming giant announced that for the week of January 27, the event ranked as the tenth most-watched program worldwide, marking a huge milestone for WWE’s new international distribution deal.
According to Netflix, the Royal Rumble racked up 2,100,000 views and a staggering 9,600,000 hours watched across global markets. This marks the first time a WWE event has landed in the streamer’s Top 10 rankings, proving that pro wrestling’s reach continues to expand beyond traditional networks.
The Royal Rumble had already cemented itself as WWE’s biggest non-WrestleMania event in history, packing 70,342 fans into Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and smashing records in viewership, merchandise sales, and sponsorship revenue. Viewership on Peacock jumped 14% from last year’s record-setting numbers, and the international boost from Netflix sent those figures even higher.
Beyond streaming, the event’s impact was undeniable. Social media erupted after Bron Breakker’s brutal spear on IShowSpeed, making it the most-watched Royal Rumble clip of all time with over 300 million views in just 24 hours.
Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair walked away as the winners of their respective Royal Rumble matches, securing their WrestleMania 41 world title shots. But with WWE setting a new bar for success, all eyes are now on WrestleMania 41 to see if it can break even more records.
