WWE referee Daphanie LaShaunn has finally broken her silence after a terrifying car accident that left her and her husband, former WWE star Leon Ruff, shaken and injured.

LaShaunn took to her Instagram and addressed the incident for the first time, offering fans a reassuring message and thanking everyone for the overwhelming support since the crash.

“THANK YOU ALL FOR THE WELL WISHES AND PRAYERS!” she wrote. “Last Sunday very scary. We saw all the kind words and messages. Just needed a few days to get our bearings and get things settled.”

The accident took place on January 18, when the couple was rear-ended on the road, resulting in a completely totaled vehicle. Leon Ruff shared the news at the time, noting they had just returned from the hospital and were both sore—though LaShaunn was hurting more than he was. Ruff also asked fans and promoters for booking opportunities as they dealt with the aftermath.

In her Instagram post, LaShaunn assured fans that while she’s still recovering, she’ll be back soon. She ended the message with love—and a loud, clear safety reminder.

“I’ll be back very soon, just need a little rest and recovery,” she said, bringing relief to those concerned about her condition. I love y’all so much!❤️ ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT🗣️”

The wrestling community has rallied around the couple since the accident, offering messages of support and encouragement. While the crash was serious, LaShaunn’s update confirms that she’s staying positive and on the path to recovery.
