WWE referee Daphanie LaShaunn is finally speaking after laying four family members to rest, following a tragic housefire.
On February 21, 2026, following the funerals of her grandmother, grandfather, uncle, and cousin — who tragically died in a house fire earlier this month — LaShaunn uploaded a heartfelt video message on Instagram, thanking those who stepped up during the most difficult time of her life. Visibly emotional, she explained why she had been silent for nearly two weeks.
“The funeral just ended, and I could not let this day end without saying something. It’s been like two weeks, and I really have been silent because this has been the craziest thing in my life.”
LaShaunn made it clear that the outpouring of support from the wrestling community and fans made a real, tangible difference.
“The way that you guys showed up for me, I don’t know how much I can ever say thank you. I have a room full of clothes and school supplies and things like that for my cousin.”
Because of the overwhelming donations — including major contributions from WWE Superstars — her family was able to focus on grieving instead of financial stress.
“We were able to pay for this entire funeral, get my cousin set up. We were able to just do everything we needed to do. No one needed to stress. No one needed to worry. I’ve never planned a funeral in my life, let alone four.”
LaShaunn’s update wasn’t about numbers or headlines — it was about gratitude. And after facing an unimaginable loss, she made one thing clear: the support she received will never be forgotten.
