Former WWE star Leon Ruff and his wife, current WWE referee Daphanie LaShaunn, were involved in a serious car accident — and the photos show just how bad it was.
On January 18, 2026, Ruff took to Twitter to share the shocking news, posting images of their completely totaled vehicle, which appeared to be crushed from both the front and rear ends. The couple had just returned from the hospital at the time of the post, and while Ruff said he’s doing okay, his wife is in rougher shape.
“Earlier today, my wife and I were rear-ended on the road. We just got home from the hospital and we’re both sore and shaken up. I’m alright, but Aja is hurting more than I am. Unfortunately, the car is totaled.”
Ruff also made an appeal to the wrestling community for support, revealing that he’s looking to pick up bookings in the aftermath of the accident. He ended the post with a reminder to fans and drivers everywhere.
“If anyone has any connections to bookers or upcoming shows, I’d truly appreciate the opportunity to pick up some extra bookings. Please drive safe and always wear your seatbelt.”
The incident shows that life outside the ring can hit just as hard — and Ruff’s honesty about their injuries and financial needs makes the situation all the more real. Wrestling fans across the industry have already begun sending their support. Here’s hoping both Leon and Daphanie make a full and swift recovery.
