WWE has officially announced that Sheamus is out of The Last Time is Now Tournament after suffering a shoulder injury that leaves him medically unable to compete.

The company posted the update on Twitter/X, confirming the news just hours before SmackDown goes live:

“BREAKING NEWS: Due to a shoulder injury, Sheamus is not medically cleared to continue competition in The Last Time is Now Tournament. Additional information will be provided tonight on SmackDown.”

Sheamus had advanced in the tournament by defeating Shinsuke Nakamura during the November 10, 2025 episode of RAW. His most recent match came on the November 17 edition of RAW, where he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio in a six-man tag.

At this time, WWE has not named a replacement or alternate for Sheamus in the tournament. Fans are expected to get further details during tonight’s SmackDown broadcast.
