Alexa Bliss was set to make her long-awaited WWE return on Raw in San Jose on January 13, but WWE pulled the plug at the last minute.

According to PWInsiderElite, Bliss was expected to be part of The Wyatt Sicks faction, but when her representatives pushed for a new contract ahead of her comeback, WWE shut it down and took her off the show.

WWE expected Bliss to return under her existing deal, which had been extended due to her time away. However, Bliss wasn’t on board with that, seeking a brand-new contract with better terms. WWE, refusing to give in, played hardball—canceling all of Bliss’ creative plans and shifting The Wyatt Sicks to SmackDown without her.

Sources told PWInsiderElite that WWE had everything planned for Bliss to quietly show up at Raw in San Jose and kickstart her return. But once her camp made it clear they wanted a renegotiation before she got back in the ring, WWE’s response was swift: they pulled her from all plans and put her future with the company on hold.

The situation escalated when Bliss removed all WWE references from her social media on January 14, the day after she was originally supposed to return. That move sent a clear message that her relationship with WWE is in a rocky place, with no resolution in sight.

With Royal Rumble days away, Bliss isn’t expected to be part of the show, and there’s no sign that WWE is backing down. Whether this is just a negotiating tactic or the beginning of a longer standoff remains to be seen, but WWE has made one thing clear—they’re not giving Bliss any leverage.
