Karrion Kross parted ways with WWE after his contract expired a few weeks ago and now more revelations about his time in WWE have come to light. This includes the fact that WWE pulled Kross from this year’s Royal Rumble.
While speaking to Denise Salcedo, Karrion Kross explained that when the Final Testament beat the Wyatt Sicks, it wasn’t meant to be the end of their storyline. He said his group got momentum by accident, and the plan was for the story to continue later, though many details are private. Soon after, his group was taken off TV.
After that, he was mostly used for small backstage segments. He was supposed to be in the Royal Rumble but was removed at the last minute, which made him feel like his role in the company was getting smaller and smaller.
“I had a concern about that because when the Final Testament went over on the Wyatts, that was not supposed to be the end of that story. And this is—I’m using my words—there was an accidental transfer of equity to our group. And that was not supposed to be the end of the story. The rest of that story will be told another time. There’s a lot of private details in it. But um, then my group was gone.
I was kind of regulated to just small backstage stuff for a while. I was supposed to be in the Rumble. They really pulled me out of the Rumble last minute. It did feel like my presence was shrinking quite a bit.”
Karrion Kross has since made his way back to GCW and is already doing quite well for himself in the independent circuit. Even then, it’s just a shame that WWE actually removed him from the Royal Rumble at the last minute, as many fans felt he deserved to be part of the match.
