With heavy weather events expected to hit parts of the East Coast, WWE isn’t taking any chances as it prepares for a crucial stretch leading into the Royal Rumble.

The company is currently on the road, with Montreal hosting WWE tonight, followed by Toronto on Monday. Immediately after, talent and staff are scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia for Friday Night SmackDown and the Royal Rumble event itself.

Given the forecasted disruptions, Fightful Select reached out to WWE officials to ask whether travel issues could impact the week’s schedule. WWE reps responded confidently, saying there are “options, backup options, and backup backup options” in place to ensure all key personnel arrive as planned.

Additionally, a number of talent and staff are traveling overnight from Montreal to Toronto, getting ahead of the expected weather to avoid delays.

With Royal Rumble weekend shaping up to be one of WWE’s biggest in years, the company appears to be going to great lengths behind the scenes to prevent travel chaos from derailing the momentum.

Do you think WWE’s backup plans will hold up? And who are you most looking forward to seeing at the Royal Rumble? Let us know in the comments.
