Omos hasn’t been seen on WWE television in months, but that doesn’t mean he’s on the shelf. In fact, WWE may have something completely unexpected lined up for the 7’3″ Nigerian Giant.

According to a new report from WrestleVotes Radio on WrestleBinge, WWE is now “seriously considering sending Omos to AAA” as part of their ongoing efforts to expand their reach under the new alliance with the Mexican promotion. JoeyVotes revealed the move is being talked about behind the scenes and compared it to Omos’ run earlier this year in NOAH, which, despite being short, was a surprise hit with fans.

Back in January, Omos made headlines by winning the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Titles in NOAH alongside Jack Morris. He later vacated the titles and returned to WWE—but hasn’t wrestled since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 5 episode of SmackDown.

In a recent interview with Gambling Industry News, Omos confirmed he re-signed with WWE, saying, “I just signed a renewal with WWE and will be there for years to come!” He also noted that he’s been “training really hard and working on some new things,” teasing a return when the time is right.

If WWE does send Omos to AAA, it could be the reset his character needs—and it may also help the company test international appeal in a fresh setting.

Is sending Omos to AAA a genius move or a sign WWE doesn’t know what to do with him anymore? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know if you think The Nigerian Giant should stay or go.
